Estate Sales in the DC Area - 5/1 - 5/4

My Grandma’s Estate Sale <3 in Washington, PA

Hey! This weekend is my Grandma’s Estate Sale in Washington, PA. The address isn’t released until Friday morning. On last week’s episode of my podcast, Estate Sale Baby, I talked about some of the lessons I’ve learned for organizing an Estate Sale. If you have any friends who live in the Pittsburgh area, please let them know, my Grandma had some beautiful stuff.

If you missed the Mid Atlantic Antique & Garden Festival last weekend at Aix La Chapelle Farm, there’s the Old Line Market this weekend. It’s more vintage than antique.

Also, I’ve started a form if you have a secondhand event (ie yard sale) you want me to shoutout. Here’s some of the events I’ve gathered so far for this weekend:

• Shaw, DC - Epic Shaw Yard/Estate Sale, Saturday (5/3), 9 am - 3 pm

• Anacostia, DC - Eastland Gardens Yard Sale between Anacostia Ave & Kenilworth Ave NE, Saturday (5/3), 8 am - 2 pm

• Petworth, DC - Petworth Community Yard Sale, Saturday (5/3), 10 am - 4 pm

• Alexandria, VA - Seminary Ridge Yard Sale, Saturday (5/3), 8 am - 12 pm

For this week, I picked out the following sales:

   Vibe: Colonial/Pennsylvania Dutch (my Grandma’s Sale)

   Why I selected it: I really wanted this marble bust but have no place to put it. There’s lots of well built furniture and books. There’s a little blue and white area. You know immediately that my Grandma had a sense of humor.
